About Me

I am obsessed with helping people find happiness and purpose in their careers, because I know how miserable it can feel without it. I’ve been there.

My core beliefs:

  1. You do not need to have “found your passion” to have happiness and success in your career. You don’t have to decide what you want to be when you grow up - ever. Direction, happiness, and success come through a lifelong process of experimentation, reflection, and iteration. Not setting a lifelong course when you’re 18, then “never giving up”.

  2. Everyone has experience and skills the world desperately needs...and tons of resources at their fingertips.​

  3. There is no singular right path, nor permanent situations.​

  4. Career journeys will be curvy and messy...and that's part of people's value and most of the fun.​​

  5. Everyone will hit resistance during their career journey, and that's good.  It's the key to growth, insight, and all good stories. ​

  • Certifications and Training: I am an ICF-accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Certified Career Consultant (LHH), Certified Academic Life Coach (CTEDU), Certified Professional Resume Writer (PARWC), Certified Myers-Briggs Consultant, and hold a Masters Degree in Adult Learning & Human Resource Development. What can I say? I like school.

  • Expertise in Finding Career Direction, not just Finding a Job. Many “career coaches” are actually just branding specialists - they help you with your resume, LinkedIn, and interviewing, then send you on your way. But what if you’re not sure what you want to do? Many career coaches don’t offer those services. I specialize in them. And yeah, I help with the other stuff, too.

  • Extent and Range of Coaching Experience: I have worked with hundreds of clients ranging from senior executives to high school students; software engineers to aspiring artists. I’ve coached in-house at a Fortune 100 company for years, and I’ve coached in schools, universities, and nonprofit community shelters. I draw on my own wide range of professional experience that includes teaching, consulting, college advising, writing, classical singing, voiceover acting, and tree farming. Yes, tree farming.

  • Customized, Self-Paced Offerings: I start with where you are, focusing on what you most need NOW. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all coaching packages and 10 step plans. You’re more unique than that, and some of you will want and need more individualized support than others. My coaching packages range from self-paced virtual programs to “white glove” packages where I’m with you every step of the way. And a few options in between.

  • Immediate Results: After a single complimentary phone call, you will feel more hopeful and less overwhelmed. After the first email or coaching session, you’ll have your first steps to success. While all my clients’ backgrounds and situations are different, they have one thing in common: they want to start feeling better about their lives and careers starting RIGHT NOW.
